On Thursday, 19 September 2024, the Ljubljana Technology Park hosted an exciting event for tech enthusiasts, the “Arena of Technologies.” Attendees were introduced to cutting-edge innovations from Slovenian companies, including breakthrough technologies such as devices for measuring climate change through black carbon, virtual tourism equipment, global digital advertising solutions, new medical devices, advanced measurement techniques, earthquake-resistant technologies, stratospheric rockets, and robotics. Arctur, a partner of the National Competence Centre SLING (NCC SLING), participated as an exhibitor and presented its innovations in the field of tourism and the NCC SLING.
The following day, on Friday, September 20, Arctur welcomed students from the Higher Vocational College of ŠC Celje. These students were introduced to the world of supercomputing for the first time, with the highlight being a live demonstration of the Arctur-2 supercomputer. Arctur’s team offered insights into European and Slovenian supercomputing ecosystems, emphasizing their practical applications in research and industry. Additionally, the students explored related technologies, including artificial intelligence and virtual reality in tourism.
