The Jožef Štefan Institute (IJS), an active member of the SLING consortium and a partner of the project “National Competence Centres in the framework of EuroHPC Phase 2” (EuroCC 2), has upgraded its disk capacities these days. The IJS now maintains a disk system of more than 12 pebibytes (12 * 2⁵⁰ bytes or approx. 13.5 petabytes), on which scientific software packages and, in particular, data for processing on supercomputing systems are stored. The disk systems are available for the needs of IJS research projects and international projects of which IJS is a member.
