The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has announced the selection of the first seven AI factories to be set up in Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain and Sweden, in a major step towards strengthening European leadership in AI.
Italy will coordinate the IT4LIA AI Factory consortium in cooperation with Austria and Slovenia. The new system will be hosted by CINECA Consorzio Interuniversitario and will be located in Bologna, Italy.
