EuroHPC call for AI factory antennas and public consultation on AI GigaFactories

EuroHPC has launched a call for proposals to select entities or consortia of entities to set up AI factory antennas. These will be linked to the selected AI factories across Europe and will be involved in all activities related to them. Each individual antenna will support an existing AI factory in its country and will extend and complement services to strengthen the national AI ecosystem. The antennas will also provide remote computing access to AI-optimised supercomputing resources. The total budget for the AI Factory Antenna call is €70 million. The deadline for proposals is the 9th of July 2025. 7. 2025.

The EU Commission and EuroHPC invite key stakeholders (industrial stakeholders, public and private investors and participating EU countries) to submit their ideas and express their interest in further developing AI GigaFactories to support the large-scale development of AI models in Europe. Slovenia has successfully applied to an EuroHPC call and was awarded a national AI factory with a supercomputer that will be housed in the Arnes Data Center in Maribor. The deadline for application is the 20th 6. 2025 at 17:00 CET. In the European network of AI factories gaining a gigafactory is also the Slovenian AI factory SLAIF.
