Regular research access is intended as production use of supercomputing capacity or allocation of data stores when the requirements are not very high.

Terms of Service
RRA is granted for a maximum of 12 months from the date of resource allocation, renewable on the basis of a report and an assessment of the progress of the project, with a maximum total duration of two years from the date of the grant of access. Computing resources will be allocated in accordance with the SLING Task Allocation Standards; a specific set of resource usage rules may apply to certain systems.

Beneficiaries, review procedure and allocation
RRA applications can be submitted at any time to a permanently open call, and applications are not subject to scientific peer review, but are evaluated by the members of the expert group on technical level and relevance. Once approved by the expert group, the administrators can grant access. The results will be announced within 1 month after each submission deadline.
Support
SLING provides high-level technical support to each RRA, organised by the Support Team. In special cases, the applicant may request expert support at the time of application to solve specific problems or to ensure the optimisation required. Such support must be requested and justified by the applicant in the access application.
Limitations
An applicant can only act as project leader in one approved RRA application at the same time.

Application instructions
Applications are subject to an assessment of relevance and feasibility and must include the following elements, which you must attach as files to the application form:
Agreement on the processing of personal data (GDPR) and declaration on the use of resources
Report of work and extension or increase of resources
Report
At the end of the project, the project leader is obliged to submit a report (template on the button below).
Extending and/or increasing resources
When renewing access or requesting an extension, the applicant may request a maximum of 50% more resources than were granted in the original allocation of resources. Time extensions are also possible for a maximum of 6 months. Extensions can be requested after the report has been submitted. Extension of access may be requested after submission of a report at least one month before the expiry of access. Multi-annual project leaders must submit a request for an extension after one year an interim reporton the basis of which an extension of access may be granted. Access will be suspended if the report is not submitted on time.
